STARTING OVER-RANDOM RAMBLINGS #13

Contrary to what a lot of people believe, there is absolutely nothing wrong with starting over. Be it school, business, friendship, relationship and even marriage, starting afresh isn’t something to be ashamed of.

In 2016 when I had to leave my previous school to begin afresh in another country, I felt defeated and asked myself so many times whether I should even attempt a fresh start. I was constantly scared I might fail down the road and have to quit school totally. But it turned out that a new beginning was all I needed. I needed a new environment and a new perspective and I got all of that. While I admit it was difficult, it was actually the universe granting me a gift.

The beauty of starting over is that you get to do things differently than how you did them before. You adapt new strategies and have more focus. You become more intent on making things work and more than half the time, they do.

There’s no limit to how many times you’re allowed to start over. You might be studying a course or working in a field that doesn’t feel right and you want to go into another that you love but because you’re more concerned about ‘what people will say’, you can’t move forward and you find yourself stuck in limbo. The truth is, people always talk and that’s their problem, not yours.

This also applies to relationships and marriages as well. It’s not wrong to break up or get a divorce if things have gotten too toxic to a point that nothing is working anymore. It’s okay to try again if someone different comes along. You deserve a chance at happiness.

So, if things aren’t working out currently, take a deep breath, clear your head and start over. Try to do things differently and who knows? That might just be the charm you’ve been waiting for.

Cheers to new beginnings!

Please drop your comments as usual, they always make me smile. Thank you😊

I totally agree, it might seem like a difficult thing at that point in time but as time goes on you will be more than grateful for it.

Well said sis! The fear of the unknown prevents a lot of people from venturing into new territories, and it is totally understandable. However, I’d rather take a chance than live with the thoughts of “what could have been”.

Life always has to go on, and it’s never really an END if your EFFORT NEVER DIES, in a new place, with new approaches on what you want for yourself.
Where some people take it upon themselves to be critics, don’t forget whatever choices you make isn’t gon’ affect them but your very self.
